Kubi Software CEO to Speak at Enterprise Outlook 2003

Julio Estrada Will Share Vision of Collaborative Email

LINCOLN, Mass. - May 27, 2003 - Kubi Software Inc., the creators of Collaborative Email, today announced that Founder and CEO Julio Estrada will present at the prestigious Enterprise Outlook 2003 conference, hosted by Technologic Partners. Estrada will present a management overview of Kubi Software's strategy and business prospects, and will participate in a panel discussion entitled "How New Ideas about Messaging Are Redefining Enterprise Collaboration."

Building on the reality that a vast majority of business collaboration still occurs in Email, Estrada will illustrate how - with the right tools in place - Email can become the "killer app" for collaboration, due to its spontaneous nature, ease-of-use, and virtual ubiquity in business environments. Kubi Software recently shipped the first Collaborative Email solution, Kubi Client, just 60 days after launching at the elite DEMO 2003 conference. The company's highly successful beta program attracted more than 300 organizations, including 11 of the Fortune 100 companies.

Technologic Partners' Enterprise Outlook will be held June 3-4 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Palo Alto, California. The eighth annual conference will highlight the productivity and efficiency of new technologies, and the startups and strategies that are enabling solutions with measurable return on investment for organizations.

Estrada's management presentation will be part of a series of executive presentations that begin at 8:50 a.m. on Wednesday, June 4. He will highlight the market opportunity that has resulted from the insight that Email can become the platform for a new generation of collaboration software. He will demonstrate how Kubi Software's innovative Collaborative Email approach is enabling users to realize the long-deferred promise of collaboration that is easy and spontaneous, yet structured and secure.

Estrada will also take part in a panel discussion under the heading "Technology Directions," scheduled for June 4 at 3:50 p.m. Panelists will examine how new ideas about messaging are changing the face of enterprise collaboration and will address the following questions:

  • What's driving the need to enhance collaboration with customers and suppliers?
  • Will instant messaging supplant Email for communication within the enterprise?
  • How can messaging improve the use of phone and video collaboration?
  • What's the role for startups in a messaging world dominated by giants?

Joining Estrada on the panel will be Steve Baloff, General Partner, Advanced Technology Ventures, Julie Farris, CEO and Founder, Scalix, David Hsieh, Vice President, WebEx Communications, and Bruce Stewart, Senior Vice President, Strategic Business Solutions, America Online. The panel will be moderated by Lizbeth Scordo, a reporter for VentureWire.

In addition, Kubi Software will be one of the select companies demonstrating its products and meeting with conference attendees in person, at the evening reception and product demonstrations, from 5:30 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday June 3.
