Julio Estrada
Founder and CEO
Julio Estrada founded Kubi Software, Inc. in July 2001. As the company's Chief
Executive Officer, he leads its management team and defines its vision and
long-term strategy.
Julio is an acknowledged pioneer in the design of innovative, commercially
successful application software. Before founding Kubi Software, he spent ten
years at Lotus Development Corporation, where he was the Chief Architect and
Development Manager of QuickPlace -- Lotus' Web collaboration product and key
strategic offering. Prior to co-creating QuickPlace, he was the Lead Architect
of Lotus Domino Web Server. The Domino Web Server brought Lotus Notes to the
Web, revitalizing the established collaboration platform and consequently
growing its installed base from 5 million to more than 50 million users.
Earlier projects include the Lotus 1-2-3 Collaboration Extensions, the Lotus
1-2-3 next-generation cell engine, the Improv multidimensional cell engine, and
Lotus Notes Web Publisher. Prior to Lotus, Julio held development and
management positions at Midwest Communications and Cybernetics Systems, where
he designed and developed mission-critical applications for Fortune 100
companies in a wide range of industries.
Julio is the principal inventor of over a dozen highly significant patents in
the area of Web-based collaboration.
John Shagoury
President
John Shagoury has more than 20 years of software industry experience, with
expertise in entrepreneurial endeavors and a track record of trusted
leadership. In addition to overseeing the company's business operations, as
President, John drives Kubi Software's corporate strategy and ensures that the
company's vision and products meet anticipated customer needs.
Prior to joining Kubi Software, John served as President of Lernout &
Hauspie's Speech and Language Technologies Division. He led the effort to
restructure and stabilize that 600-person organization through bankruptcy
proceedings, and succeeded in selling the company's remaining assets at auction
and repaying all U.S. creditors at 100 percent. John had assumed this position
after the former Dragon Systems was acquired by Lernout & Hauspie in June
2000. Dragon Systems was the leader in speech-to-text software solutions. While
he was President at Dragon, John grew revenue from $28M to $60M in two years.
Prior to Dragon, John held the positions of President, North America, and
Executive Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Technology Services at
Corporate Software & Technology, Inc., a software distributor that licensed
network and desktop software to Fortune 1000 enterprises. He also served as
Vice President of Sales and Marketing at ON Technology, Inc. where he was
responsible for growing the Macintosh software start-up from zero to $8M in
revenue. Earlier in his career, John was Director of Distribution Channels and
Sales Programs for Lotus Development Corporation.
Nina McIntyre
Vice President of Marketing
Nina McIntyre brings 19 years of software industry experience and a unique blend
of creative marketing and results-driven operational expertise to Kubi
Software. As Vice President of Marketing, she develops Kubi Software's
marketing strategies, and oversees its product management, product marketing,
marketing programs, and marketing communications activities.
Most recently, Nina was Executive Vice President, Worldwide Marketing and
Strategic Alliances for Centive (formerly Incentive Systems), a premier
provider of Enterprise Incentive Management software solutions. During her
tenure at Centive, Nina helped grow revenues from zero to $20M in three years
while developing an industry realignment plan to expand market share in key
vertical markets.
Prior to Centive, Nina was Chief Operating Officer for Invention Machine, a
provider of knowledge-enabling software for the Internet. Nina also held
executive positions with Lotus Development Corporation, where she served as
general manager for groups including graphics products and calendaring and
scheduling, and as director of spreadsheet product management.
Nina serves on the Board of Directors of Boston CyberArts.
Jeffrey Dickerson
Vice President of Sales
Jeffrey Dickerson has more than 20 years of software and communications industry
experience and a track record of driving rapid growth. As Vice President of
Sales at Kubi Software, he develops go-to-market strategies and oversees
distribution channels and sales support.
Jeffrey most recently was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Mazu
Networks, a provider of solutions for enterprise network security. Prior to
joining Mazu, Jeffrey served as Senior Vice President of Sales and Services for
MCK Communications, a voice and data integration equipment manufacturer. During
his three and a half years there, Jeffrey contributed to MCK's growth in
revenue from $2M to $50M, and its successful IPO in October 1999.
Earlier in his career, Jeffrey held senior-level sales and business development
positions at companies including VMARK Software, Auto-trol Technology Corp, and
Parametric Technology Corp. (PTC).
Steve O'Neill
Vice President of Business Development
Steve O'Neill has more than 20 years of technology experience driving
business-development initiatives. As Vice President of Business Development,
Steve is responsible for all business-development activities, including
strategic partnerships and new-market development.
Steve joins Kubi Software from web publishing solutions provider Trellix
Corporation, where he served as an Executive Vice President. During his tenure
at Trellix, Steve built and managed the sales and business-development group,
and was instrumental in closing some of the company's largest deals with
organizations that included Hewlett-Packard, Dell, Compaq, and Amazon.com. He
also played a key role in securing Trellix's $35-million mezzanine round of
financing.
Prior to Trellix, Steve was the Vice President of Business Development for
Sitara Networks, a QoS (quality of service) networking solution provider.
Earlier in his career, Steve served as Vice President of Business Development
for e-marketplace provider Nets Inc., and as Vice President of Alliances and
Business Development for Lotus Development Corp. He has also held various
management positions within Banyan Systems, Skok Systems, and HP.
Bob Preble
Vice President of Engineering
With more than 20 years' experience in software engineering, Bob Preble has
compiled an impressive track record of managing tight product schedules while
maintaining the highest levels of software quality. Additionally, he has
expertise in driving product localization efforts in multiple countries
simultaneously. As Kubi Software's Vice President of Engineering, Bob is
responsible for all aspects of development, quality engineering, and support.
Bob most recently served as Vice President of Engineering at Trellix
Corporation, a web publishing solutions provider. While at Trellix, he led the
building of innovative website-creation tools and hosting technologies. In
addition, he managed significant localization projects for the European and
South American markets.
Before joining Trellix, Bob was at Lotus Development Corp., where he held a
number of senior management roles, including General Manager of the Graphics
Products Group and Senior Director of Development. At Lotus, Bob was
instrumental in bringing a number of products from concept to market -
including localization for Europe, South America, and the Far East - that
resulted in yearly revenues of $120 million.
